Instructions of DGHS:
- Until further notice, all types of sampling centers set up outside the labs’ own building to collect COVID-19 samples for foreign travelers will be closed.
- Samples of expatriate passengers cannot be collected from home under any circumstances.
- Passengers traveling abroad need to verify the original passport and fill up the sample collection form by mentioning the passport number. Under no circumstances will photocopies of passports be accepted.
- Passengers going abroad at the airport will be verified by a COVID-19 test certificate, passport number. Telephone or mobile number only will not be accepted as proof.

If there is any positive report within seven (07) days, the passenger will not be allowed to leave the country.
- A foreign traveler is positive about COVID-19, he or she will be re-tested in a government-run lab at least 7 days later and can leave the country if he or she is certified negative later.
- Any allegation is raised against any RT PCR lab, the activities of the lab will be temporarily suspended and further approval will be considered pending investigation.
- In order to test the COVID-19 for a foreign traveler, one has to first check the passport number in both the government and private places to see if he has tested RT PCR elsewhere in the last 48 hours. If he does and if he is positive, he will not be allowed to take the RT PCR test again for 7 days.
